It’s that time of year again, and if you haven’t already then it’s definitely time to get the wellie boots out!  Now many moons ago wellington boots were a staple of hunting and outdoor wear for the British aristocracy.  In fact originally they were worn and popularised by Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.  No longer associated with a particular class, wellies are now commonplace among farmers, outdoors enthusiasts and even the fashion set.

So what’s your style…

Le Chameau Wellington Boots have been handcrafted since 1927 and are the original iconic rubber boot brand.  The only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker.  Each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making their boots by hand for over 85 years. Technology, flair and craftsmanship have ensured Le Chameau have created collections for all occasions – town and country.

Le Chameau footwear has been designed for a variety of different uses.  So it is very important to select your boots according to its end use and intended purpose.  This includes the choice of linings and outsole, zipped or adjustable.  For example, Neoprene is a very warm lining and during the warmer months the foot will perspire, this can sometimes be confused with your boot leaking.  So Le Chameau recommend a cotton-lined boot as a good addition.
